France in America
This site was conceived in partnership with France’s national library, the Bibliothèque nationale de France. It is a bilingual digital library made available by the Library of Congress. It explores the history of the French presence in North America from the 16th century to the 19th century.

Western Society for French History
The Western Society for French History promotes the study of French and Francophone history. Its members include students, scholars, and amateur historians. Members are from the United States, Canada, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and other countries.

American-French Genealogical Society
The American-French Genealogical Society is devoted to people of French-Canadian extraction. 

French Colonial Historical Society
The French Colonial Historical Society encourages interest in the scholarly study of all French colonizing activity and the history of all French colonies.

Society for French Historical Studies
The Society is an organization of historians of France. It promotes scholarly work all aspects of French history. It holds annual meetings,  publishes a journal, and awards prizes for outstanding scholarly achievement. 

The Chouteau Society
The main mission is to erect historical markers, monuments and statues in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. They memorialize the French heritage and outstanding individuals.

Historical Marker Database
This website is an online catalog of historical information. It displays roadside and other outdoor markers, monuments, and plaques. It contains photographs, inscription transcriptions, marker locations, maps, additional information and commentary, and links to more information.
